Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy M52 5G receive One UI 4.1 directly
Samsung’s initial rollout of Android 12 came with One UI 4.0. But with the launch of the Galaxy S22 series last month, the Korean brand also introduced version 4.1 of its custom Android software. The company is currently in the process of rolling out the new One UI version to its eligible devices. And to make things easier, it bundled One UI 4.1 with the original Android 12 release for devices that hadn’t received it yet. The Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy M52 5G both get this bundled package directly.
One UI 4.0 already brings a plethora of new features and improvements to Galaxy devices. The latest iteration adds a few more goodies, including a bunch of camera features. Most of them should trickle down to the Galaxy A90 5G and Galaxy M52 5G.
Along with the slew of new features, the latest update for both of these phones also includes the March 2022 Android security patch. This month’s SMR (Security Maintenance Release) contains fixes for over 50 vulnerabilities.
If you’re using any of these Samsung phones, you should get the One UI 4.1 update based on Android 12 very soon. Watch out for a notification once the OTA (over the air) version hits your country. Since these updates are rolled out in batches, it may take a few days for the OTA package to appear on your phone. You can check it manually from the Settings app, under the Software update menu.
