How to Find and Change IP Address on iPhone or iPad

too often, but if you ever need to change it to protect your privacy, help fix Wi-Fi connectivity issues, or access content that’s only available in other countries, you can do so by just a few steps.

How to find an IP address on your iPhone or iPad

1. Open the Settings appand touch Wireless to the top of the page.

You can find information about your IP address in the Settings app.

2. Touch the name of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to or the “I” icon.

Tap the “i” icon or the name of your Wi-Fi network to find your IP.

3. On the next page you will see your IP adress listed in the IPV4 address section.

How to Change the IP Address on Your iPhone or iPad

Changing your IP address only takes a few minutes, and it can help protect your privacy or resolve computer connectivity issues.

Automatically request a new IP address

If you’re having trouble connecting to the Internet, you can send a request to your router to update your iPhone’s IP address. If you don’t need to enter a specific static IP address, this may be all you need.

1. Open the Settings application.

2. Faucet Wireless.

3. Find the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to and tap the “I” icon on the far right of the screen.

4. Faucet Renew the leasethen in the pop-up window, tap Renew the lease again.

Double-tap “Renew Lease” to have a new IP address automatically assigned to your device.

Manually enter a new static IP address

1. Open the Settings application.

2. Faucet Wireless.

3. Find the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to and tap the “I” icon on the far right of the screen.

4. Faucet Configure IP.

Under IPV4 Address, select “Configure IP”.

5. On the Configure IPV4 page, tap Manual then enter the IP address details. When you are done, press to safeguard to implement changes to your IP address.

If you want a specific IP address, enter that information on this screen.
