How to Sideload Unsupported Android Apps in Windows 11 with Easy Run

Microsoft spent many years trying to use its own mobile operating system, but since then it has become very popular with Android now.

Microsoft makes Android-powered Surface phones, lets you connect Android devices to Windows, and can even install Android apps for Windows. With the help of Amazon Appstore, you have limited access to all sorts of useful Android apps. You can simply download other apps with one click.

The task is to begin.

Before developing any fanciful ideas about running an Android application under the sun, you should examine your system. Windows Undersystem for Android requires at least 8 GB of RAM; but 16 GB is recommended. Your computer needs a very modern processor and could be an Intel Core i3 Gen 8000+, AMD Ryzen 3000, Snapdragon 8c, or something newer. On the back of the storage, Windows 11 should be installed on an SSD rather than a spinning hard drive.

Even if you don’t want to use Amazon to give you the ability to use the Windows Subsystem (PSA) in your app, you have to pick it up from the Windows Store and pay for it, so you need to know the Windows Subsystem to Android. After installing WSA, the PC will restart. It’s still not done.

In order to configure some apps, you need to go to WSA settings to enable developer mode. It’s under the Developer tab. In this screen, you need to update the internal address of your IP address. Note that the IP address may only appear when the Android subsystem is running.

Searching for Android apps is one of the fastest ways to find Android apps.

Even if Windows 11 had access to the full catalog of the Amazon Appstore, the choices wouldn’t be a big deal. As it stands, Amazons only has a subset of apps. If you want to install something from outside the App Store, you have to install it yourself. There are two options: download apps from trusted sources or save the best apk from Android devices.

If you have an Android phone, you should remove the APK from your app list to make it easier for you. If you want an Anapa, as well as an ML Manager, you can save and share the file on your PC without worrying about the source.

Even if you have Android devices, downloading APKs from a reliable online source can be worth it. Sometimes it is possible to get apps that are not hosted on the Play Store, but also older versions of apps that have been modified or updated with unwanted features. Both APK Mirror and F-droid are good reliable options for downloading free apps. If you want paid apps that are not available in the Amazon store, you have to raise the Jolly Roger and get into software hacking, and you will definitely pick up malware.

Apart from installing your APK files, you have to tinker with the command selling tool called Android Debugging Bridge (ADB). Download Platform Tools from the Google site. Open the batch file or terminal to be able to connect to a virtual Android system.

First use the adb command to connect ip_address and replace the address you copied above. You can use your adb devices to determine the connection between ADB and Android. (See below, if you see these commands in action.) We only get this when WSA is running.

Your computers and the connected Android subsystem can be installed on adb to download file_path, adding the path of files to the previously downloaded APK. You can also see the image above, for example. We were using Twitter as a test here, but it should work exactly the same as any APK. Not all apps will work in the Android subsystem, which is still a preview feature.

Once you start installing the Android app, it appears in the Windows Start menu like any native Windows app. There is a small problem with Windows and Android if you don’t want to split the app every once in a while. Fortunately, reinstallation is easy, as there is no need for a command line. Just start the application, right click and go to the uninstall button. If sideloading adventures go awry and you suspect you’ve broken something or installed malware, you can simply uninstall the WSA for Android like you would an app.
