EMUI 13 is here and users of Huawei The P30 Pro are continually contacting us to find out if they will receive the latest version of EMUI. Yes, this is an interesting question, and everyone wants to know the answer.

The Huawei P30 series is a flagship product that has made a name for itself around the world. Huawei has designed the P30 and P30 Pro with the best possible hardware and software, especially the Pro model.

The Chinese tech maker launched the phone with EMUI 9.1, an upgrade from EMUI 9.0, but both were based on Android 9. In subsequent upgrades, Huawei installed EMUI 10.0, EMUI 10.1 and 11, as currently the phone is running EMUI 12.

Compared to 10, 10.1 and 11, EMUI 12 has given a new form of life to this flagship phone as it brings many new features to P30 series phones in the global market. However, EMUI 13 is the next target that Huawei P30 Pro users are considering.

Why anticipation?

EMUI 13 is intended as a major upgrade over EMUI 12 in every aspect, the software will welcome you with improved system animations and optimizations for improved performance. However, the interface is more focused, as it will take you to the new smart folders, an improved version of large folders that could be resized into different shapes.

Additionally, the new widget system will focus on keeping the home screen clean and tidy with additions of widget groups and stacking. Super Device debuts for global users, which will replace Device+ (from EMUI 12). Super Device will enable better interaction between devices powered by EMUI 13.

EMUI 13 also installs new security enhancements co-powered by Security Center and Privacy Center to observe and check current security vulnerabilities on your phone.

Is the Huawei P30 Pro eligible?

Huawei has not currently confirmed the eligibility to upgrade Huawei P30 devices to EMUI 13, but there is a good chance that this good old flagship will be on the list. However, we will keep you informed of new developments.
