Juniper Networks Delivers New Secure Edge CASB and DLP Features to Simplify the SASE Experience

SUNNYVALE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), a leader in AI-powered secure networks, today announced the expansion of its SASE offering with the addition of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) and advanced features loss prevention (DLP) for its Juniper Secure Edge solution. Combined with Juniper’s unique SD-WAN solution powered by Mist AI, Juniper is the first in the market to offer a complete SASE solution with visibility into both the edge and the data center.

Leveraging its Secure Edge solution, Juniper offers customers a highly secure and operationally efficient way to adopt a SASE architecture, no matter where they are in their SASE journey. Additionally, customers can connect their SASE architecture at the edge to their Zero Trust data center architecture under the same management UI and single policy framework, eliminating visibility breaks and security posture gaps. while delivering on the promise of Juniper’s connected security strategy.

“The biggest challenge with SASE solutions today is that they force organizations to abandon existing technology investments that work for them, forcing them to start from scratch and rebuild Zero Trust principles into a new architecture,” said Samantha Madrid, Vice President of Security Business Group. & Strategy, Juniper Networks. “Now, with the addition of CASB and DLP, Juniper addresses these concerns with a full suite of SASE features that are flexibly adopted and deployed while extending the Zero Trust principles already implemented in the network to the cloud. ”

Securing access and preventing data exfiltration for SaaS applications

Juniper provides CASB and DLP to secure SaaS applications and help prevent unwanted access, malware delivery and distribution, and data exfiltration. Both of these features are part of Juniper’s Secure Edge cloud security solution powered by Security Director Cloud, which secures both remote users and on-premises users. It easily manages Zero Trust and SASE architectures through a management portal using a single policy framework. With the addition of CASB and DLP to Juniper Secure Edge, customers can enjoy these key benefits:

  • Prevent unauthorized access to data residing in the cloud by allowing access only to validated users. Data Access Control provides security teams with optimal visibility and control over SaaS applications, whether they are authorized or not, including data, usage, compliance, threat prevention and access, which complements the suite of cloud-delivered security features offered by Juniper Secure Edge.
  • Increase visibility into IT operations and security teams with DLP creating identity-based micro-perimeters around users, SaaS applications, and the data they contain, and protecting sensitive and confidential data within the organization.
  • Protect SaaS applications from compromise controlling user actions in a granular way level, scanning all existing and new files in SaaS applications for malware and preventing the uploading and downloading of compromised files.
  • Take a phased approach to SASE. Organizations can leverage their existing SRX security policies and extend them to their SASE architecture with Secure Edge to meet the business needs of today and beyond, growing with them as they expand their SASE footprint . Whether starting out with SD-WAN or SSE or both, Juniper is the only vendor in the market today that gives businesses both the flexibility they need and the simplicity they want.

Seamless transition to full-stack SASE

Adding CASB and DLP to Secure Edge builds on Juniper’s extremely compelling experience. Juniper Secure Edge provides comprehensive SSE functionality, including Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS) and Secure Web Gateway (SWG), in a single software stack, now with CASB and DLP, all managed by Security Director Cloud. This protects web access and provides users with consistent and secure access to their data and applications with industry-leading security efficiency. By delivering a complete SASE solution, Juniper continues to build on its vision to deliver a seamless AI-powered SASE experience and create a converged networking and security framework where security is extended to every connection point, creating a truly threat-aware network. .

“More and more of our customers are looking for ways to improve collaboration between the security architecture team and the network operations team. A SASE solution must offer this when it comes to configuring and enforcing secure access policies,” said Sudheer Matta, group vice president of AI-Driven Enterprise, Juniper Networks. “Juniper’s AI-powered solutions and connected security strategy continue to improve the experience for networking and security teams while breaking down barriers that impede collaboration.
