NCI will provide secure network connections to the US Navy

NCI Information Systems has been awarded a five-year, $13.4 million prime contract to provide fast and secure network connections to the US Navy.

The Fiber Optic Networks Installation Support Services contract was awarded by the Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD) of the US Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR).

Under the contract, the company will design, manufacture and install advanced connections through fiber optic network support services.

NCI President and CEO Paul Dillahay said, “The operational readiness and survivability of today’s warfighters is more closely tied to the speed and security of network technology than at any other time in the history of our country.

“We are honored to partner with IntelliBridge on this program to support the Navy with better, faster and more secure connectivity to support fleet modernization and readiness for missions at sea.”

NCI will work with its partner IntelliBridge to deliver the contract work.

The companies will offer services, such as advanced network designs, fiber builds and infrastructure mapping.

These will make IT connectivity for NAWCWD and NAVAIR seamless and secure, as well as “system interoperability transformation” and network integration.

Additionally, the partnership will allow IntelliBridge to continue its long-term support of the Navy and NAVAIR in China Lake, California, USA.

IntelliBridge COO Alan Thomas said, “Combining our deep understanding and experience of our Navy customer with NCI’s network support services expertise will enable our navy to protect their operations and respond more effectively to potential threats.
