November 2022 update has landed on Galaxy S10e and Tab Active 3 LTE

Last update: November 14, 2022 at 14:18 UTC+01:00

The November 2022 security patch the saga continues, with Samsung now rolling out the update to a few more Galaxy devices, including a smartphone and tablet. The devices in question are Galaxy S10e compact headlight and the Galaxy Tab Active 3 LTE rugged tablet.

Galaxy S10e update carries firmware version G970FXXSGHVK1. As of this writing, it’s available in nearly a dozen regions across Europe, including Switzerland, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, the Nordics, the Czech Republic, Greece, Poland, Spain. Southeast Europe, the Netherlands, the Baltic States and Germany.

Curiously, the November 2022 security update appears to be available only for the compact Galaxy S10e variant rather than the entire series. For unknown reasons, the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10+ have so far been left out.

As with the rugged Galaxy Tab Active 3 LTE (SM-T575), the update containing the November 2022 security patch carries the firmware version T575XXS3DVK2 and is available in Mexico, with more markets expected to follow soon.

Neither the Galaxy S10e nor the Galaxy Tab Active 3 LTE are expected to get any new features through these updates, except for better security. Samsung detailed the November 2022 security patch last week, and as usual, it includes over a dozen fixes regarding Samsung’s proprietary software.

Galaxy S10e and Tab Active 3 LTE users should be able to download the new update, if available, upon receiving the notification or by accessing “Settings,” tapping “Software update,” followed by “Download and install.” Alternatively, SamMobile readers can download the update from the firmware section on our website, if they prefer to update their devices manually using a PC.
