StackPath launches IP Spotlight


WAF functionality allows customers to investigate IP addresses

DALLAS, September 27, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — StackPath, a leading platform for edge computing, edge delivery, and edge security solutions, introduced IP Spotlight, a feature that enables StackPath WAF Essentials, Professional, and Enterprise customers to track and collect meaningful data about IP addresses at no additional cost.

The data provided includes:

  • Summary of IP threats, including a risk assessment score
  • Use of botnets
  • Activities “known for”
  • Intellectual Property Ownership Information
  • Request information, including blocked requests and unique session counts
  • Geographical information on the origins and targets of attacks
  • Distribution of attacks over time

With IP Spotlight, each IP address displays a risk assessment score calculated based on information collected through the robust StackPath network. With this score, in combination with the other data provided, customers can determine if an IP address is worthy of generating requests to their site.
