Tabitha Brown has shared a message for those who don’t like the way she spreads her sunshine. In a video uploaded to Facebook, she explained that she wouldn’t tone down her personality in order to make deals.

“If you don’t like my personality, if you don’t like all things Tab Tab, don’t work with me because I won’t change,” she said. “I’m not going to change a bit for your audience. I won’t speak a little differently for your comfort.

Brown didn’t elaborate on what led to the announcement, but said she would never be silenced when she had something to say.

“I had to break down a lot of walls and barriers to gain my freedom!” she wrote in the caption. “Walking proud and confident in my truth is always a daily pursuit!! I won’t change!! I also won’t shut up when things go wrong! I always come from my heart and am very direct and honest. In the world of entertainment, I know it’s frowned upon, especially coming from a woman. Sometimes my kindness makes people think I’m weak, but I’m not! I’ll keep speaking for myself .

Being authentically Tabitha Brown has taken the actress and social media personality to great lengths. She went from being a TikTok sensation to having her own vegan cooking contest, It’s CompliPlé, on The food web. She also partnered with McCormick for her own line of seasonings, which sold out in less than an hour. The North Carolina native even landed a guest role in The Chi during season four.

Brown also published the cookbook Feeding the Soul (Because It’s My Business): Finding Our Way to Joy, Love, and Freedom. Her next cookbook, Kitchen from the Spirit: Easy, Delicious and Joyful Plant Inspirations, will be available on October 4.
