Quest Update 46 turns your Quest Home into Mines of Moria, brings a useful UI improvement and more privacy settings.

Firmware update 46 is rolling out to Quest owners on a staggered basis starting October 6th. As usual, it may take up to a week or more for the update to reach all users.

You can check the current firmware version of your Meta Quest 2 under Settings > System > Software Update. Please note that Meta has ignored firmware version 45. The latest released version is firmware update 44.

If an update is ready to install, the option will appear in the same window. Don’t worry: manual installation is usually not necessary, as the system usually installs updates automatically after they are deployed to the device.

Let’s go to new content, features and improvements in Update 46.
