Vaddio launches new IntelliSHOT-M ePTZ camera – certified for Microsoft Teams – rAVe [PUBS]

Vaddio announced its new IntelliSHOT-M ePTZ camera specifically designed and certified for Microsoft Teams rooms. The IntelliSHOT-M claims to ensure a consistent, repeatable, and high-quality Teams experience.

Like the IntelliSHOT ePTZ camera released last year, the IntelliSHOT-M features 30x zoom with a 70.2 degree field of view and is equipped with Vaddio’s advanced IntelliFrame technology, the only automatic framing solution that can be adjusted based on room conditions and user preference. . Rather than relying solely on facial recognition, which can fail with face coverings or misidentify objects like posters on the wall as people, IntelliFrame uses a combination of exceptionally sensitive motion detection and complex algorithms to provide a smooth, precise and reliable framing of the participants.

For AV integrators, IntelliFrame promises custom video performance with every installation. With simple, custom features such as one-touch masking, integrators can outline the camera’s field of view, so it doesn’t pick up unintended participants nearby, i.e. students at first row, windows, busy hallways, projection screens or displays in the front of the room.

IntelliSHOT-M also allows fine-tuning of camera speed to keep up with a presenter’s walk and shooting accuracy around the instructor. The integrator can adjust how long to wait before framing additional people on a whiteboard, how often the auto framer resizes the image, and limit the zoom allowed. But more importantly, these options are not an on/off toggle but a spectrum, so professional contractors can get the most out of every installation. Sometimes projects aren’t that complicated and time is of the essence, so IntelliSHOT-M comes pre-programmed with six standard configurations such as “responsive lecture capture” and “default lecture” to speed up installation and setup without compromise system performance.

IntelliSHOT-M is powered by PoE+ and network connectivity allows IT administrators and technical staff to manage and control the camera remotely via Vaddio’s free web UI. They can select Vaddio IntelliSHOT-M cameras on the network, choose an action like rebooting the device, or performing mass firmware updates on hundreds of devices at once, saving time and effort. the workforce for corporate or educational campus staff with hundreds of rooms to oversee.
